Shaelyn's First Day of School

Shaelyn started Kindergarten today. She was already dressed at 9:00 (pm that is, because she changed before she went to bed!) Then she was up by 7:00, ready to go. The bus was 20 minutes late but that better than her missing it. I told her I would be lonely but she said she had to go because her friends would miss her. I presumed the bus would be home around 4:00 - I was wrong. About 4:30, she finally made it home. I'm hoping this is new bus routes yet! Otherwise, I might have to just pick her up. It's about a 50 minute bus ride home, when we live about 5 minutes away. I wondered if she would be tired (I hoped) So far, she is still full of energy. She played, colored, ate lunch, played, made a handprint, played, sang a song, played - you get the idea. I'm hoping for a great year.
PS - I enjoyed the quiet around the house!!

Maybe there's still hope that she'll get more tired out after a few days!

She looks so cute and proud of herself! Glad she had a good day and is having fun so far. Hopefully it will get a little more tiring soon though - wink, wink...

I popped over via my cousin Ally's Antics. What a gorgeous wee family you have. Glad your girl enjoyed Kindy! My daughter had the Firemen visit at her Kindy today, I've just posted about it. It was sooo cool.
