It's Easter time

When we returned Saturday from our "mini" vacation (I'll post on that later), we decided to do our Easter activities. We told Shaelyn that the Easter bunny was coming so she had to go to her room (so we could hide the eggs inside the house - thanks to the snow outside). She wasn't quite sure about that so Chelsea told her that she saw the bunny coming up the driveway and she wasn't allowed to see him or he wouldn't hide the eggs. So she went to her bedroom while we rang the doorbell and pretended that the bunny was here. She told us later that she heard him down the hallway but he is just pretend. She went around the house and found all of her candy and eggs. Later, we decided to color our eggs. We had fun making a few different colored ones. Here's the girls with some of their finished ones. Now, I've got to use them up - anybody up for some egg salad sandwiches?

Looks like they had fun. The bunny has stopped coming to our house - we only had 1 pkg of cadbury mini eggs this year! Mari

Not only did the bunny stop coming to our house - I discovered when I was out shopping this weekend that some parents buy their kids bikes and toys and stuff! We were apparently quite deprived!

We were deprived too, Laura. Although Grandma did buy us Easter baskets full of them but we never went hunting for eggs or anything!

I'm just glad to see that this mom is still using the Christmas mugs... since I still have a few out myself!
