It's Raining, It's Pouring....

What is up with the weather lately? We had another huge storm come through my area again yesterday. Dave ended up running out in the rain, getting ready to block our slider door again but this time the water didn't get as high. So many areas are without power - but we kept ours! These are some of the pictures I got during round 1 of the storm, around 3:15. The 2nd round came at 4:30 as I was coming home from the store. There was so much water on the road that my van almost stalled out! I tried so hard to get a picture of the lightening but it never came when I was ready. There is something so powerful to see in a storm.

Terri, I think I see a tornado forming in the clouds in that first picture! I'm glad you got home safely!

So glad you didn't have water in the house again. It sure was a storm. We kept our power as well, but many I know lost it.

All I can say is let it rain so that August 2nd is clear and beautiful. Kinda makes me nervous about this outdoor wedding.

Aha! Scattered Stones said there was a possible funnel cloud over A-town! I think you caught it on camera, girl!

It was a wild night - I'm glad you stayed dry. We did too and kept our electricity too!

I had to drive home on Chic. Dr. through like ten foot floods - it was terrible! Then when I made it to our road I had to turn back around and go a long way around because there was a tree and a power line blocking our road. When I finally got home I found out that our fence had crashed down. It was quite a night! I'm glad you guys didn't flood again though!

Uh-oh- do we have to put comment verification back on???

Glad you didn't flood out this time.
I heard on the news that someone in my neck of the woods thought they spotted a funnel cloud. I saw that cloud and it did look really funky!

It was a CRAZY storm, wasn't it? We didn't lose power, but many of our friends did. I really like those pictures. They really capture what the sky looked like.
