How do You Sleep?

How do you sleep? Where do you sleep? If you're Shaelyn, this is how you chose to sleep Saturday night.

No, this was not a punishment that I inflicted upon her. She grabbed a laundry basket and said she was going to sleep in it for the night. I explained to her that it would be cramped and squishy and she said it would be comfortable. So I let her lay in there, thinking that she would move to her bed soon. A bit later she was asking for some water. I gave it to her but told her if she called again, she would have to move out of the laundry basket and into her bed. She didn't call again and this is how I found her when I went to bed later. She woke up Sunday morning without a kinked neck but I have removed the basket from her room!

That is too funny! What a cute picture - it looks like it could be the start of a children's book or something. "Shaelyn and the Laundry Basket." :) Ironic, isn't it? We try to give them nice, clean, soft sheets and lovely beds and picture perfect bedrooms - and they choose the laundry basket. If we MADE them sleep in it, we'd have DFACS at our doorstep pronto! :)

That's one for the books. What a cutie.

Isn't it crazy how kids will sleep anywhere? Annie sleeps on the couch and in her cottage!

She has slept in her own bed ONCE! yikes - we are working on that next - it Bailey Bootcamp at our hizouse!

Evidently, Shaelyn needed some security. They swaddle babies after birth so they feel secure. If a tight secure place works for her, that is good. She will soon be too big for the basket anyway. LOL!

I always wanted a big bear to sleep with. My parents got me one for Christmas, but they bought one that was a Panda Bear and he was a bear that sat up and would not lay down. I was so DISAPPOINTED because my purpose was not to look at it but to sleep with it. He wouldn't put his legs and arms down! Good Grief! They ruined me for life! Ha! Ha!

That really looks like something Abby would do! But I don't think she would sleep, just play. She will only sleep in her bed. It's kind of nice actually.

I can't imagine how she could sleep there and not be horrible sore the next day! I wouldn't be able to walk, but then I'm old!

I remember sleeping (multiple times!) in my closet at a kid. I would load it up with stuffed animals, pull my lamp in there and cram my body in and sleep in that little confined space. Door closed ! I'd go crazy if I tried to do that now !!! But I liked it then. Kids !

She looks too cute in the basket though !

THIS IS AMAZING! My kids do the same thing every once in a while. At one point it does get painful though.

Kids are so funny, if you or I had tried such a thing...we would pay millions at the Chiropractor's office!

Thanks for the smile! I needed it!
