Goodbye Flat Stacey

Karen sent Flat Stacey to visit us. This doll has done more traveling in her short lifetime than I have in mine. She started in Colorado, went to Australia, on to Alaska, then New Zealand. Then she spent some time with us in West Michigan. Over the weekend she was sent to Jennifer in South Dakota (if she makes it through all the snow!) Here are some of the things she did while staying with us.

Helping to make a cake!

Waiting for the bus in the morning.

Visiting the muck fields and seeing how celery grows.

It was a fun visit. I hope she has as much fun playing in the snow as she had
by our house!

Hey, bring on those shorts again! It's cold today!

What a riot to be sending Stacey all around. Did you send her to nickerdoodle?

I'll bet Flat Stacey is as tired as I am tonight. :)

Thank you for your encouraging comments about the adoption over our way. They are tired, but SO glad to be home! You're right, it's a blessing we take for granted every day.

Ava continues to do well. She's actually sleeping BETTER in her new room than she has in awhile. It's quieter, maybe that helps. I hope the trend continues.

Y'all have a wonderful week.

Thanks for asking about School - yes she had a great first day. I thought she'd be tired, but no, the social interaction energises her and she's been full of beans and keen to go each day! She's also getting excited as she turns 5 on Friday May 2nd.

Flat Stacey is going to be quite cultured after she makes her rounds and finally arrives home. What a story she will have to tell!

How fun. I have read a few of the Flat Stanley books to my kindergartener. I first heard about Flat Stacey on Karen's blog.
