Daddy's little Helper - Part 2

I know I've written before about how Shaelyn loves to help. Well here she is again. Dave wanted to get the weeds out from the sandbox area and plant some grass under the swings. Shaelyn found out so here she was, shoveling the sand and pulling weeds.
Last Thursday, I was getting ready to leave the house to go to the museum with her. She disappeared into the garage. I get out there and she's all buckled in with my door open. She tells me that she opened it for me and says, "I like to help". She sure does.

Let's hope that helpful spirit sticks with her throughout the teen years when she can be most helpful. :) She's on to a good start!

What a great little helper ! It's great when they want to help ... and are actually helpful !!

And in response to the comment you left on my blog ... it was Rory (my husband !!) who cut off my head in that photo ! It would have been understandable if it was Jono - my 5 year old ! ha ha.

What a little helper! I used to love to help around the house when I was little, and my favorite books were "I help Mommy" and "I help Daddy" by Golden Books.
