Slippin' and Slidin'
I didn't really have a lot to say today but Dena advised me to talk about this crummy weather we have here today. This morning we had a storm come through which caused a lot of icy roads which then turned to slush. It came through right around daybreak when schools decide if they will cancel for the day. At 6:30 there was still nothing much cancelled in my county. Then at 7:00, I heard a cancellation for Cheri's schools. I gave her a call, to her relief, because Nick had just headed out to the bus. Chelsea continued to hope but to no avail. It does seem that our school system hesitates greatly to delay or cancel. As the day continued, it began to rain. This is what our deck looked like this afternoon. All the ice was melting off and now it is just very slushy out there. It was not fun delivering papers this afternoon. We all looked like drowned rats - no I did not want a picture of myself looking like that. Sorry! Tonight we are going to Shaelyn's Christmas program at school. Hopefully, I'll have some pictures for tomorrow.

I'm sorry the weather stinks. That picture make me want to get some hot tea and cozy up with my Bible...try that!
Hate icy weather! I'm glad we live in a spot where we don't get that too much - its too cold here for freezing rain. I wish we would get some more snow, though. I'm anxious to do a little cross country skiing.
Brrr. It's so hard to imagine snow and cold, when we are sweltering here today. I always worry about folk when there is ice about. Stay warm and don't drink too much eggnog (never had it but it sounds good!!)
I'm bummed- we were going to go the the Meijer Gardens tonight to see the Christmas Tree displays. We had gotten free tickets from our bank and they were only good for tonight. We headed out and Mark really thought we shouldn't go because it was freezing rain again so we didn't. Hope you get home ok tonight!
It's been interesting weather for sure. THe only thing that would have improved it would have been a picture of you, looking like a drowned rat!
I just came ome from my work Christmas party. It was freezing rain again when we left, thank goodness it stopped.
It was horrible driving to work this morning...just yucky! It took Jenna 30 minutes to get to Grville. She turned around and skipped her class at CC.
Thankfully tonight was better, but who knows if we get snow during the night.
I don't really like winter weather!
The roads weren't too bad by us, but it definitely was yucky being out in it!
Wow - You guys are taking a BEATINg up there - my friends children went SWIMMING (yes in bathing suits) yesterday!
