How are your Teeth?
Chelsea and Shaelyn had a dentist appt. yesterday. They both love going to the dentist because it's a pediatric dental office. This is a ton different than when I was a kid. I really didn't care to go because we didn't even get our gums numbed with a cavity. Even walking in and smelling it, brings back memories. The kids get prizes and everything. I did tell Chelsea this might be her last visit because I think you have to quit going there once you're sixteen. She lucked out and they made an appt. for her in May yet. On the other hand, Shaelyn got an appt. made for November. You guessed it, she's got one small cavity. Oh oh, must have been all that candy she got while trick or treating this past weekend. We'll see how much she still loves going to the dentist after this. How much do you all like the dentist? Is there any place you'd rather not be?

The dentist tops my list and next is my yearly exam doctor. HATE THEM, HATE THEM, HATE THEM!!!! UGH.
Xylitol has been proven to repair small cavities----something with the strep mutane levels. In Japan, they have all sorts of flavors and varieties of Xylitol gum to choose from. Let me know if you cannot find it in the States----I can mail some to you.
There is nothing I hate worse than the dentist! Shaelyn will do fine- she's a tough little bugger.
Xylitol is an ingredient---we have only seen it in gum form but maybe they have it in candy form too. I am not sure. I'm sure you can "google" it and get lots of info.
I do not mind. I like having clean teeth and since I have cut out most of the sugar from my diet I do not see to have cavities like I used to.
Hate, hate, hate the dentist! And now I'm really starting to dislike the orthodonist since he's charging me enough to send his kids to college! AAARRRGGG!!!
I hate going to the dentist - especially if there is drilling involved.
Oh the joys of teeth. What do I hate more...gynae appointments. Shudder, shudder.
Well, I never really used to mind the dentist until recently when I had that horrific root canal - and a few cavities and that whole ordeal. Now I do hate it. And although I hate the girly appointment, and it's uncomfortable and embarassing, at least it doesn't hurt and leave you numb for hours!
I'm sure Shaelyn will do fine - she was a trooper when she got cut right?
I just had a cleaning a couple of weeks ago, and I went to a new dentist nearby. WOW! State of the art! Plus, the decor was very homey and comfy. TV's at every station. They asked me, "is there something you'd like to watch?" Jack had his choice of 2 playstations.
Still, even tv can't take away physical stress and discomfort! :) Thankfully, neither of us had cavities. I have a small crack in a tooth, but the correction is not worth it at this point. So, we got off relatively easy - except for the PRICE! :)
I actually like it because I love the feeling of clean teeth!! I haven't had any teeth problems, though.
