The Continuing Camping Adventure

Here are the rest of my camping pictures. Sure makes you think of fall.
It was great weather for fires.

Campground Decorations near their pumpkin patch.

More campground decorations

Future quarterback!

Playing football with Dad. She caught this one!

Ooh, gooey pumpkin innards!

The seeds we got out of our pumpkins. They were great seeds. I saved them and cooked them when we got home. Yum!!

Chelsea and Shaelyn with their carved pumpkins.

Some of the kids getting ready to go trick or treating from trailer to trailer. Do you like Chelsea's costume? She decided to take Millie and be a dog walker.

Bobbing for Apples. We didn't try this but let the others get their head wet.

The first cupcake Shaelyn decorated. Did you notice that this one didn't have as much stuff on it. She figured that on the 2nd one, she could use a whole lot more.

We used to clean the seeds and toast them- yummy. I also prefered the pumpkin pie pumpkins over the Jack-o-lantern variety. They made the best pies and pancakes!

Hey Terri,

Click on the yummy picture of Pumpkin Pie (Leah's recipe exchange) on my sidebar. Next, scroll down and find the labels - click on "breakfast". My recipe for Pumpkin Pancakes and Butter Pecan Syrup is listed there.

Hope you like it. I've had trouble with the recipe the last couple of times I've made it - but it may be because we are at a higher altitude or because I'm using canned pumpkin rather than fresh. I don't know - but it worked perfectly when we lived in SD.

I must admit I wouldn't mind having a go at emptying a pumpkin. It does look fun. I had my first taste of pumpkin pie in 1986, I was in England on a Missionary course where I met my first ever American and Canadian friends. Oh - it was good. Also pecan pie - that was yummy. Oh no, and now I am totally hungry again!!

I can tell there was a lot of fun even though the weather wasn't perfect!

That all looks like so much fun! We're going to carve pumpkins and roast the seeds this weekend with some friends. Yum!

I like the picture of Shaelyn with her pumpkin - she sure knows how to pose!

It's been so long since I've had pumpkin seeds- love them!
Very clever of Chelsea to be a dog walker- any way to still get candy.
Hope Shaelyn enjoyed those cupcakes- since she should probably be banned from candy since that mean old dentist found a cavity! Hee HEe
