We airlifted him (he was never sick or hurt a day before in his life) to the hospital they found out that his pancreas had been blocked by a gallstone (very rare for an 11 year old) and basically ALL his organs were shutting down and dying off. They removed his gallbladder and he lost 90% of his pancreas due to infection. He stayed in the PICU for 51 days. It was a complete nightmare, and yet through it all we knew that God was going to protect him and that He also had something amazing planned for our son's life.

He is doing so well now...you'd never know he had that happen to him. He has diabetes, but hey, that's not a big deal after all we went through.

God is so good, isn't He?Melissa in Mel's Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13638983411456998183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31471015.post-69199104393809458512008-01-08T13:58:00.000-08:002008-01-08T13:58:00.000-08:00I hear you, though I don't have school aged kids, ...I hear you, though I don't have school aged kids, I realize the NEED for routine!!!:)Sherihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12254764843041725608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31471015.post-39066938019342353192008-01-07T19:10:00.000-08:002008-01-07T19:10:00.000-08:00I'm ready to accomplish more, too.
